At Speech Language and Literacy Clinic, we offer practical assessment and intervention based on your child's needs. We specialise in supporting children with speech, language, and literacy difficulties.
Our offerings include assessment and intervention for speech and language disorders, literacy challenges, feeding evaluations, and stuttering. Additionally, we can provide assessment, intervention, and progress reports. We cater to paediatric clients and can provide services in our clinic or at a location convenient for you.
Clinic Location: We are located in the Sanctuary View Specialist Centre.

Offering clinic based, mobile and Telehealth service in the Newcastle NSW area. Services are available at our clinic, your home, preschool, or school setting, as well as through online assessment and intervention.
The Speech Language and Literacy Clinic is a registered Medicare provider. Services may be claimed through private health insurers, please verify with your insurer. For a fee schedule, please contact The Speech Language and Literacy Clinic.
The school outreach program provides a full speech pathology service within the school setting. This program provides a speech pathologist to the school, commonly 1 day per week, during the school terms. The program follows an evidence-based speech pathology service and can be tailored to suit the individual school setting. The program provides staff support, professional learning, along with student assessment, and intervention in a 1:1, small group, whole class, or can be provided across whole year levels.

Elizabeth brings over 18 years experience to her role, having graduated with a Master of Speech Pathology from La Trobe University, Melbourne in 2007.
Elizabeth specialises in a paediatric caseload, with expertise spanning education, disability, early intervention, as well as literacy, language, stuttering, and paediatric feeding.

Courtney is committed to collaborating with families and empowering children to achieve their communication goals.
Initial assessment appointments last for one hour. Occasionally, a second assessment session may be necessary, depending on your child's specific needs. We provide Intervention appointments in 30, 45, or 60-minute durations. Online telehealth sessions are 40 minutes. Reports are available in either a summary or a detailed format.
No, you do not need a referral to see a speech pathologist.
Consult with your GP to determine if your child qualifies for a Chronic Disease Management Plan (CDM), which can provide access to five Medicare rebated allied health services each calendar year.
The Speech, Language, and Literacy Clinic offers services to NDIS participants with either self-managed or plan-managed funding arrangements.
Medicare Chronic Disease Management Plans are welcome. Speech Pathology rebates are often provided with Extra's Cover. It is advisable to consult with your private health fund to understand the specifics of your plan.
We welcome new referrals from parents, general practitioners, educators, guardians, allied health professionals, and other medical practitioners.
