The school outreach program provides a full speech pathology service within the school setting. This program provides a speech pathologist to the school, commonly 1 day per week, during the school terms. The program follows an evidence-based speech pathology service and can be tailored to suit the individual school setting. The program provides staff support, professional learning, along with student assessment, and intervention in a 1:1, small group, whole class, or can be provided across whole year levels.
Initial assessment appointments last for one hour. Occasionally, a second assessment session may be necessary, depending on your child's specific needs. We provide Intervention appointments in 30, 45, or 60-minute durations. Online telehealth sessions are 40 minutes. Reports are available in either a summary or a detailed format.
No, you do not need a referral to see a speech pathologist.
